TruckSmart FAQs

Using the App with UltraONE

To utilize the full functionality of the app, three things need to be set up correctly:

  1. Turn on Location Services – To give you the best app experience, turn on Location Services in your phone settings. When you are prompted the first time you launch the app, select allow.
  2. Allow Notifications (iOS only) – To ensure you don’t miss any important notifications like shower availability, truck service queue placement and more, turn on Notifications in your phone settings. When you are prompted the first time you launch the app, select allow this feature to receive notifications.
  3. UltraONE Account Setup – Login or create an UltraONE account to view and manage your UltraONE account information. If you need assistance, please contact App Support at appsupport@ta-petro.com.

The TruckSmart app can be downloaded from either the Apple App Store or Google PlayStore. Search ‘TruckSmart.’

If you're using an Android device, you will need to delete and reinstall the app if you have the old version.

Yes, you must read and accept the Terms and Conditions to use the TruckSmart app

Customers requiring assistance with the app can email appsupport@ta-petro.com.

You only need your UltraONE account number and PIN the first time you log in. If you cannot recall your account information, please contact App Support at appsupport@ta-petro.com.

To create a more secure login process, existing and new UltraONE members will login to TruckSmart only using email address and password not UltraONE number and PIN.

Yes, you can now create an UltraONE loyalty account right from TruckSmart. Your account credentials will be created instantly so you can immediately start earning points on fuel and shop transactions.

Sign In is for active UltraONE members. If you have an active UltraONE account, select the Sign In button. If you do not have an UltraONE account, select Become a Member to create an account.

Yes, you need an email address to login to TruckSmart. Most email addresses can be setup for free, and we will use your email address to validate your identity at the time of login.

To ensure a more secure login experience and to authenticate unique UltraONE accounts, TruckSmart requires a unique, validated and active email address. This email will be linked to your UltraONE account.

For your security, TruckSmart will only allow a certain number of login attempts. If you exceed the number of attempts without successfully logging in you will be locked out of TruckSmart. If you are locked out, please contact App Support at appsupport@ta-petro.com or contacting Customer Service.

Yes! Select “Forgot Password” and follow the prompts to send an email address to your validated email account with login instructions.

Yes. TruckSmart shows the last three transactions completed using your UltraONE account. Receipts/transaction information can also be found on the UltraONE kiosk and at www.TA-Petro.com/UltraONE.

Yes, you can view your UltraONE points and shower credit/UltraCredit balances in TruckSmart.

Yes, you have the ability to manage your UltraONE account information by going to Settings then Base Profile. Additionally, you can manage your Professional Profile, Vehicle Profile, Payment Information and Notifications in the Settings page of TruckSmart.

Site Search on TruckSmart

The default radius for site search is 50 miles from your current location. The radius can be expanded to 100 miles or any to view more sites near you.

Yes. On the site details page for each location there is the option to call the site directly.

The four digit codes are located in the site details page for each location.

Yes! Fuel prices are displayed within the site details screens.

Yes! TruckSmart lets you search by radius of your current location, by state or by highway you plan to travel.

Yes. You can search by amenity (specialized fuel, designated pet area, work out facilities and more!) , service or restaurant (full-serve or quick serve) in TruckSmart.

Instant Showers on TruckSmart

Yes. You can check availability and reserve a shower from TruckSmart, but you must be within 50 miles of the site you intend to shower at.

Yes! TruckSmart accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express as payment for showers and reserved parking. Fleet payment cards are not accepted through TruckSmart at this time.

Yes! UltraONE members can redeem points for showers and reserved parking. Note that kiosk certificates cannot be used as payment for reserved parking.

Yes, UltraONE Gear 4 and MAX Gear members can redeem UltraCredits for showers.

Shower purchases are confirmed by email and notification to your smart phone.

TA Truck Service on TruckSmart

Yes! In the Settings page, vehicle information can be entered to speed up the Request In-Bay Service and Reserved Parking submissions.

You will receive a pop-up on your phone, as well as an email. Both will include the specific work order number that TA Truck Service facility will use to reference your request.

Yes, you need to be an active UltraONE member to create a work order request in TruckSmart. You can become an UltraONE member or login to your UltraONE account directly from TruckSmart.

Truck services work orders can be created a minimum of 2 hour in advance and a maximum of 24 hours in advance of your arrival.

Your conformation email will have contact information for service the location.

We make every attempt to repair vehicles in the order work orders were created. Submitting a work order via TruckSmart does not guarantee an appointment time. It will, however, decrease your wait time when you arrive because you will be driving rather than waiting at our site. When you arrive, if all work orders that were generated prior to your work order have been repaired, the next available technician will repair your vehicle.

Yes. You can contact RoadSquad emergency breakdown service directly from the TruckSmart app.

Reserved Parking on TruckSmart

Yes! Simply select Reserve-It! on the home page to get started.

Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express as payment for showers and reserved parking. Fleet payment cards are not accepted through TruckSmart at this time.

Yes! UltraONE members can redeem points for reserved parking and showers. Note that kiosk certificates cannot be used as payment for reserved parking.

Yes! UltraONE Gear 4 and MAX Gear members can redeem UltraCredits for reserved parking.

You do not have to enter payment information for every transaction. Payment information can be saved in the Settings screen and changed at any time.

Yes. There is an option to select ‘wide load’ that will reserve two parking spaces.

For single day reservations, you can check in to your Reserved Parking space any time after 4 p.m. Check out time is 3 p.m. the day of departure.

No. The parking space is yours from 4 p.m. until 3 p.m. the day of the departure. You are free to arrive at whatever time suits you.

In the TruckSmart app, select View Reservations in the Reserve-It menu.

Reserved Parking purchases are confirmed by email and notification to your smart phone.

DOT # is used to verify that the correct truck is in the spot.

You will be prompted to call our Reserve-It call center to confirm your information manually.

Contact Reserve-It! customer service by dialing 855-VIP-PARK (847-7275) Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST.

UltraONE Point Redemption on TruckSmart

UltraONE Point Redemption is the method in which UltraONE members can redeemed earned rewards for their loyalty to TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express locations.

Yes, you can redeem UltraONE points via the TruckSmart mobile app.

Yes, you need to be signed in to TruckSmart to redeem rewards.

UltraONE members can redeem as little as $0.01 in point value and up to their total balances.

When selecting Point Redemption in TruckSmart, you will be provided with the point value you have available. You will not be able to exceed the total amount displayed.

UltraONE Points can be used to purchase items in the travel store, restaurant, shop, etc. All current restrictions apply. 

Yes, UltraONE points can be used to pay for tax.

You have 10 minutes before your UltraONE points expire. Please, only submit the UltraONE point value to redeem when you are in line at the point of sale.

UltraONE points will not be refunded. Please, only submit the UltraONE point value you plan to redeem when you are in line at the point of sale.

Your transaction is available to view in the TruckSmart app (Services > UltraONE > Balances), at the UltraONE kiosk or online at www.TA-Petro.com. 

Items purchased with UltraONE points cannot be returned but can be exchanged. All current restrictions apply. 

The site GM or TA’s Customer Service team can assist you with any issues pertaining to UltraONE point redemption. 

Yes, UltraONE points being redeemed are now accepted at TA Truck.

PumpSmart on TruckSmart

PumpSmart is a feature in the TruckSmart mobile app that allows customers to initiate their diesel, DEF and Reefer fuel transactions remotely. 

Yes, PumpSmart is available to signed in UltraONE members only. 

Yes, location services need to be enabled in order to use PumpSmart. 

Yes, select commercial fleet payment methods are accepted when using PumpSmart. These include TA’s Access Billing Services, Comdata, Comdata MasterCard, CrossRoads Freight, EFS, FleetONE, MultiService, QuikQ, T-Check, TA Fleet Universal, TCH, TCH MasterCard and US Bank Fleet. 

Commercial fleet payment cards can be entered in two ways: In Settings, select Fleet Payment Info. Fleet payment cards can also be added while in the PumpSmart flow. In either scenario, you will be prompted to enter your card number and to provide a nickname (nickname optional).

Future enhancements will allow PumpSmart to accept American Express, Compass Payment Services, CFN, Discover, Fuelman, MasterCard, MasterCard Fleet, Visa, Visa Fleet, Voyager and WEX. 

TruckSmart is using best-in-class encryption methods to ensure that your commercial fleet payment card is safely and securely stored. 

On your first transaction, you will still need to enter the prompts in the pump. On all future transactions, the prompt questions will be available to view or edit in PumpSmart. 

No, personal credit or debit cards are not accepted when using PumpSmart. 

Yes, all eligible loyalty rewards, including UltraONE Points and UltraCredits will be issued when using PumpSmart. 

No, you need to be within 1 mile of the site you plan to fuel at in order for PumpSmart to become enabled. 

Yes, the PumpSmart code is active for 30 minutes. If you need more time, you can request to get a new code by selecting “Refresh My Code” on the PumpSmart code screen. 

Yes, you can cancel the PumpSmart code if you no longer need to use it to initiate the fuel pump.

Your fuel transaction is available to view in the TruckSmart app (Services > UltraONE > Balances), at the UltraONE kiosk or online at www.TA-Petro.com.
