TravelCenters of America raises more than $200,000 to aid trucking families and tackle human trafficking

Westlake, OH — September 25, 2025 — TravelCenters of America (TA), part of the bp portfolio, recently hosted a charity event at Springvale Golf Course, benefitting St. Christopher’s Trucker Relief Fund and TAT (formerly Truckers Against Trafficking). With 144 golfers, 40 dedicated volunteers, and a dynamic mix of company leadership and guests, the day was filled with energy and purpose from start to finish.

The outstanding turnout and generous contributions from sponsors highlight the strength of the relationships TA has cultivated and the continued support of its mission. These partnerships play a key role in advancing the work of St. Christopher’s Trucker Relief Fund and Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), two organizations central to TA’s philanthropic efforts.

“We are deeply grateful to TravelCenters of America for hosting the annual golf tournament in support of the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund. The funds raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of professional drivers and their families during times of need. TA’s commitment to the driver community is truly inspiring, and we are honored to be the beneficiary of their generosity,” said Courtney Niemann, Executive Director, St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund

This year's final donation exceeds last year's contribution of $214,000 and reaffirms TA's commitment to supporting causes that truly reflect the heart of who we are and the industry we serve.

"TAT is extremely grateful to TA for their generosity and commitment to fighting human trafficking. Throughout America, TA employees are helping survivors access resources and reporting tips to law enforcement that further the investigation and prosecution of traffickers. Through training their employees, posting signage, co-hosting events with TAT and making financial contributions that fuel this life saving work, TAT commends TA's leadership, dedication and impact," said Esther Goetsch, TAT Executive Director.

TravelCenters of America extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. Their support continues to make a meaningful difference.
