Jason Nordin to lead
TravelCenters of America
TravelCenters of America (TA), part of the bp portfolio, is pleased to announce that Jason Nordin will become the next chief executive of TA, effective immediately. Jason will work closely with the bp and TA leadership teams in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition before taking on full accountabilities as CEO.
“I’m honored to join TA and bp at such a pivotal moment,” said Jason Nordin, CEO-designate of TravelCenters of America. “TA has a strong legacy of serving professional drivers and travelers across the country, and I’m excited to work with the team to build on that foundation. The opportunity to help shape the future of fleet mobility and deliver value to our guests and communities is incredibly energizing.”
Jason brings more than two decades of leadership experience across retail, operations, and strategic transformation, including a deep and proven track record in the travel center industry. He spent 12 years at Pilot Company, one of North America’s largest travel center operators, where he served six years as chief operating officer. As COO, Jason oversaw more than 23,000 team members across more than 650 travel centers and quick-serve restaurants in the US and Canada. His leadership spanned key operational areas including merchandising, food service, maintenance, and field operations where he drove alignment and consistent execution through strategic field initiatives. He also managed Pilot’s dealer and license network of more than 120 locations, giving him a comprehensive view of the travel center ecosystem.
“Jason’s prior leadership in the travel center industry and in other major retail organizations has prepared him to take on this critical role,” said Greg Franks, bp’s senior vice president of mobility and convenience. “I’m grateful to Jason for stepping into this opportunity and I’m excited to see how he will help us shape the future of TA.”
