TA raises $73,000 for St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund at company golf outing

Third annual Par-TEE golf outing has record fundraising year

The third annual TA Par-TEE golf outing, held on Saturday, Sept. 14, drew more than 150 employees, sponsors, vendors, friends and family members to the Springvale Golf Course in North Olmsted. This year, through ticket sales, sponsorships, contests, games and raffles along the 18-hole golf course, more than $73,000 was raised for the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund (SCF), the highest amount raised since the outing’s inception in 2017.

“Every year, participation and excitement grows more and more. This is an opportunity to get out of the office, connect with co-workers and other colleagues, and raise money for a very good cause,” said Karen Kaminski, Senior Vice President, Human Resources.

64 sponsors supported the event, with Howe’s Lubricator, Mars Wrigley Confectionary, CoreMark, Pepsico, Unilever, Jack Links Beef Jerky and Shell Oil sponsoring at Platinum, Gold and Silver levels. The sponsors provided the funding of contests, games, beverage carts and dinner.

“At TA, we're passionate about helping our drivers live long and healthy lives. A huge part of that is helping them stay financially on their feet when they aren't healthy and able to work," said Tom Liutkus, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations and SCF Board President. "The funds raised provide financial assistance to those who need it most, allowing us to save lives, one driver at a time."

TA is a proud supporter of SCF and has already raised approximately $215,000 for the organization this year.
