TA Barstow Team Members Go the Extra Mile to Aid a Stranded Guest

Service Technicians Roberto Garcia and Liva Siaosi at the TA in Barstow, California (site 227) didn’t just respond to a service call on Sunday, July 25, they offered a driver much needed refreshment after he had been stranded in the California heat.

When Liva answered the road call, the driver was explaining how hot it was: nearly 115 degrees. Without question, Liva brought the driver water and Gatorade to ensure he was comfortable while the truck was getting repaired. After Liva went home for the day, Roberto stepped in and did the same, ensuring the driver was cared for in the intense heat.

A Vice President from the driver’s company took the time to write a letter to TA.

“The actions displayed by my team members is not surprising at all. We try to live the Value of 'Empathetic' every day and it is just instilled in my team,” said Jonathan Garnica, Truck Service Profit Center Manager. “We get compliments all the time, but what surprised me was the letter we received. It is not often that company leaders take the next step to write a letter and mail it. It was really nice to receive and I am so proud of my team every day.”
