February’s southern ice storm may have been months ago, but it’s never too late to recognize the lengths team members will go to return every traveler to the road better than they came.Louisiana is not known for winter weather, so when an ice storm was heading toward them, the team members at TA in Lafayette, LA sprang into action.
Amazingly, Shop AGM Claylie Miller decided to sleep at the location overnight to ensure she would be able to make it in to work the next day, which proved true as many employees found themselves iced in with no running water or electricity.
Faced with not being able to open the Boston Market, Manager Shelly Vail and Site Manager Brandy Borel stepped in to stock, clean restrooms and get the restaurant ready for customers who still had to travel and were grateful for somewhere to rest and get a warm meal.
