Site’s Deli Exceeds Expectations During Fuel Deli Lead’s First Month
When Vicki Sappington became the Fuel Island Manager at Petro Weatherford, Texas, she interviewed the current staff to see where people might be a better fit to succeed. She says, “I had to recognize their strengths and weaknesses and put people where they can do their best. It took me 10 minutes to decide to put Krystle Wilson in as Fuel Deli Lead.”
Having eight children, ages 2 to 15, might help to explain how Krystle has the skills to excel. She arrives at work at 5 a.m. and gets breakfast out in 30-45 minutes. That’s quick! Not only that, the presentation is inviting and she always has some warm words to share. Offering especially appealing food and making everyone comfortable is good.
Vicki adds, “It’s obvious that she [Krystle] takes pride in this deli and her performance.” Ashley England, District Manager, describes Krystle as a tireless worker with a fantastic attitude who steps in and assists coworkers, so together they can keep the department going and selling.
Guests send online compliments about how much they love interacting with Krystle and that her personality is so warm and welcoming. She sees and feeds about 150 guests a day! Some become like family. And when she leaves at 1 or 2 p.m., she goes home to take care of and feed her own family. By all accounts, she’s an amazing mother, too.
