Petro Kingdom City employees care for, adopt abandoned dog

After being thrown from a moving truck, Rosco (named by the team) was cared for and pampered by Store Manager Charlene Hight and Fuel Associate Erin Penn at the Petro in Kingdom City, Missouri.

Site GM, Robert Lay, who has personally advocated and supported no kill shelters and animal rescues for over ten years, was determined to find Rosco a good home. When word about Rosco got around the site, Jake Mecham from Truck Service stepped up and offered to give him a permanent home.

“It was awesome to see the love and support for this animal in such a short amount of time,” said Robert. “I want the team to know how much I appreciate everything they’ve done to help Rosco out. Random acts of kindness like these show that these associates not only care about our drivers, but they have compassion for all living things!”
