HQ Team Member Goes Above and Beyond to Collect Donations for Local Food Drive
When Debbie Cipriani learned that the TravelCenters of America headquarters was collecting canned goods for families in need this holiday season, she felt compelled to gather her Customer Service peers and spearhead the department’s donations.
Debbie orchestrated a donation of more than 400 canned goods from her teammates. She drove to her teammates’ homes to gather the donations. To make sure she made the most out of the financial contributions, she and a friend drove to Amish country where she could get the best prices on canned food. Then she headed to headquarters with her van full to the brim.
“This doesn’t surprise me. Debbie is very passionate about TA,” said Carol Giglio, Manager of Customer Service. “She is an excellent worker. She’s our team cheerleader and she went above and beyond on this. I can’t say enough about her.”
Debbie, who has worked at TA for 16 years, says she is proud that the company chooses to give back to those in need. This year, over 6,500 donations were collected and donated to the Renee Jones Empowerment Center and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
