Friendly, Skilled Team Impresses Professional Driver
Profit Center Manager, Mandy Herrera, and her team at TA Tonopah, AZ received a handwritten letter of appreciation from a professional driver who unexpectedly stayed three days at the site because of needed repairs. He wrote, “It takes great knowledge and experience to do what these guys do, to make this place run. To me it is an honor and a pleasure to write this letter.”
He continues with, “I have been here the last three days and I am spending a great deal of money, but to my satisfaction.” He goes on to thank Mandy, Terri Whittlesey, Nelly Molina, Curtis Hatfield, Rudy Montenegro and Chris Huffman. He says, “I am impressed by the wealth of knowledge, skills, and attitude. In a nutshell, five stars. Keep up the good work.”
The driver got to know everybody and brought donuts for the team on his second day at our site and pizza the next day. Barry Richards, TA President, says, “If you understand that the majority of drivers who wind up in our repair bays have reason to be less than cheerful, then you understand this letter symbolizes real achievement by Mandy’s team. Well done!”
Brian Lukavich, Divisional VP, Truck Service, pointed out all the managers and their teams worked together well to make a driver feel at home and happy while making sure he could return to the road better than when he came.
