NASCAR hauler drivers help cook meals for their team members, sponsors and guests throughout each race weekend, in addition to their driving duties and other responsibilities. This year at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Challenge, we celebrated the hauler drivers for their hard work and skill behind the wheel and in the kitchen with a good old-fashioned cook off!
Since several NASCAR racing teams are stationed in or near Charlotte, the hauler drivers’ families, friends and relatives were invited to watch the Challenge competition and witness the first ever TA Truck Service Challenge cook off.
The competitors showed off their culinary skills by preparing one of their favorite dishes, with none other than NASCAR legend “The King” Richard Petty and host of Dialed In on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Claire B. Lang as celebrity judges.
“This deal that TA Truck Service puts on for all the NASCAR hauler drivers is really unique,” Petty said. “They are the hardest working members of the team, and they deserve to be recognized. This special competition is a great way to demonstrate their knowledge and skills while competing for some significant rewards.”
Thank you to all of our contestants, their fans and our special judges for joining in on the fun. Congratulations to the top three winners of the TA Truck Service Challenge cook off.
