Have you ever been off the road due to medical reasons? Or maybe you know a fellow driver who has? It can be a very scary situation for drivers and their families. Loss of income while shouldering the worry of medical problems makes for a much more stressful situation.
That's why TA and Petro Stopping Centers partnered with Blue Tiger USA to help support St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund. Blue Tiger designed a special edition Elite headset with the SCF logo, and of course the signature blue color. The headsets are available exclusively at participating TA and Petro travel stores through the end of the year. For each headset sold, $10 will be donated to SCF. It’s expected that more than $40,000 will be donated to SCF just through the sale of these headsets.
The St. Christopher’s Truckers Development and Relief Fund helps professional drivers and their families who have financial needs due to medical problems. Their assistance comes in the form of direct payment for medical services, prescription drugs and household expenses - which is a huge help for truckers that have no one else to turn to.
One driver who received help from SCF explained, “I applied for financial assistance from the St. Christopher Fund the same month I had my triple bypass surgery and was given $700. Without this aid, my daughter and I would have been homeless. I honestly cannot express the relief it was to know that yes, the rent is paid. Yes, we still have a home. It may not seem that important to some, but the St. Christopher Fund has made a vital impact on my recovery.”
The Blue Tiger Blue Elite headset retails for $139.99, but will be offered at a promotional price of $119.97 through Aug. 31. The headset provides drivers with 34 hours of talk time and 600 hours standby. The multimedia works with music and GPS, plus the VOXPRO chip also provides drivers with advanced noise cancellation.
Purchase one of these headsets and you’ll get high quality bluetooth wireless performance, but more importantly you’ll be helping a fellow trucker in need.
If you or a fellow trucker are in need of assistance or you want to donate, reach out to the SCF by phone at 865-202-9428, email them or visit The SCF website.
